It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Theo Henderson, the founder of Theo’s Musical Instruments.
Theo was well known in the Perth music scene as a great jazz musician who was particularly handy on the saxophone, clarinet and flute. In 1965 he established Theo’s Musical Instruments and through hard work and determination was able to build a successful business that has, in some ways, become a bit of a Perth institution. Many will remember him from the stores old and long-time premises in Stirling Street, Northbridge. After handing over the business’ reins to his son Miles, Theo was able to pursue some of his other passions including golf, sailing and flying.
Theo’s Music will be closed on Monday the 17th of July so that the staff and family members can attend the service which will be held at Pinnaroo Valley Crematorium, East Chapel, Whitfords Avenue, WA at 10:30 AM. Anyone who would like to pay their respects is welcome to attend.
